Fayetteville Police Arrest UA Tackle Oden For DWI

Arkansas offensive tackle Anthony Oden was arrested for driving while intoxicated by Fayetteville Police and booked early Sunday morning.

Oden was also charged with careless driving and having no drivers license, according to the Washington County Detention Center website. He was released on $1,055 bond at 2:32 Sunday afternoon and faces an August 8 hearing on the charges.

Coach Bobby Petrino is aware of the situation. He is "disappointed and is handling the matter," according to a team spokesman.

Oden, Listed as 6-8, 334 on the detention center intake log, was expected to compete for starting time this fall. He played sparingly in 2009.
