Updated Razorback 2011 Football Commitments List

Tight end Jervohnte Riles (Bessemer, Ala.) became the 13th player in the Class of 2011 to verbally commit* to Arkansas.

Rivals.com on Wednesday reported the commitment of 6-foot-5 athlete Jervohte Riles from of Bessemer, Ala., to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Riles becomes the 13th football player to cast his lot with the Razorbacks for the 2011 signing class.

Riles plays for Bessemer Jess Lanier, a perennially strong program in Alabama. He has played wide receiver. Riles weighs in at 230 pounds. South Carolina, Ole Miss and Mississippi State are among the other top area colleges who were pursuing Riles.

Oral commitments are non-binding. College football's national signing date is the first Wednesday in February. Schools may enroll up to 25 players per signing class. By conference rule, SEC schools can only sign up to 28 players during each annual national signing period.

Arkansas appears to be ahead of its pace in recruiting last year. It helps that the state is so heavy on talent, which Bobby Petrino told us would be the case for 2011.
