Arkansas fans are a passionate and inquisitive bunch. They like to be involved in the program and, as you can imagine, enjoy knowing their questions are being answered.
With the athletic department embarking on a 10-year, multifaceted fundraising project that includes a restructuring in ticket priority donations, you can imagine fans have questions.
Athletic director Jeff Long delivered an answer to one of the most pressing queries early this morning:
“BTW someone asked if I told CBS to tell Brittany on “big brother” not to wear Razorback gear, answer: never seen the show so NO. Go Hogs!”
So there you have it. Jeff Long A) Did not ask a reality game show contestant to change her wardrobe and 2) does not even watch said reality game show.
This information seems good to know.
When a guy is trying to raise his department’s operating budget $11 million (or more) and the school’s football program is about to embark on the most anticipated football season this century, there’s probably not much time in the day for watching Big Brother.
Why would anyone think Long be interested in watching the show? Best I can tell, two Arkansans made the cut for Big Brother. Like Long, I’m not much on watching the show, so I couldn’t tell you if they’re still around.
So to recap: Jeff Long isn’t watching Big Brother.
Maybe Long is a Survivor guy. We'll have to see if he plans on at least DVRing former Razorback (and Dallas Cowboys coach) Jimmy Johnson on Survivor.
