Pelphrey Confirms Key Non-Conference Games, Sees 'Big-Time Challenges'

Arkansas hasn’t formally released its non-conference basketball schedule, but coach John Pelphrey did confirm a few opponents on Monday.

Alabama-Birmingham, Oklahoma, Seton Hall, Texas A&M and Texas are among the teams the Razorbacks will face in 2010-11. Pelphrey confirmed games with those programs, which announced games with Arkansas when releasing their schedules.

“There are some big-time challenges there,” Pelphrey said. Here are the known dates as the Arkansas Sports Blog reported last week:

*Nov. 26 Alabama-Birmingham (in Little Rock)
*Dec. 1 Oklahoma
*Dec. 8 Seton Hall (in Louisville)
*Dec. 18 Texas A&M (in Dallas)
*Jan 4 at Texas

When will the whole thing be released?

“Very soon. Very soon,” Pelphrey said, while making a community service stop at the Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club.
