Somebody make sure Arkansas offensive coordinator Garrick McGee gets a copy of the latest U.S. News & World Report. He'll surely be happy to see what's included in the latest issue.
The Sam M. Walton College of Business is again on the periodical’s list of America’s best colleges. McGee has from time to time referenced the Walton College as a recruiting tool for the football program and this should only strengthen that position.
Here’s more from a UA release:
For the fourth year in a row, the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas has placed in a tie for 24th among the nation’s top public undergraduate business schools, according to the U.S. News & World Report 2011 America’s Best Colleges.
The Walton College was also again placed at 42nd among both public and private undergraduate business schools. In addition, the college’s supply chain management/logistics specialty was ranked in 10th place among the public undergraduate schools offering that specialty and in 13th place among both the public and private business schools.
McGee referenced the Walton College on national signing day in February. He mentioned the business school alongside other more traditional recruiting tools.
“This place is hot. We have the best facilities. Like [Petrino] said, our technology, when we bring a kid in our weightroom they’re going to see things they don’t see anywhere else. When we take them in our position meeting rooms and teach them how we go about teaching football, they haven’t seen that anywhere else.
“We take them to our business school. There are things in the business school they don’t see on any other campus.”
