Former Razorback Strode Drawing Attention Prior to U.S. Open Qualifying Tournament

8/25/2010 at 1:16pm

Former Arkansas tennis star Blake Strode is a wild card entry into the qualifying round of the U.S. Open. He appeared on Good Day New York in advance of his appearance.

Strode, as I wrote about last year, has Harvard Law school waiting on him if tennis doesn’t work out. It’s a topic that Strode, 23, talks about on this morning’s TV appearance.

Best part of the interview? Strode explaining why crowds at tennis matches don’t bother him.

"I played four years of college tennis at the University of Arkansas. College crowds are a little rowdier than average tennis crowds. I’m used to it."

Strode is also featured in a number of articles, including this one by Bloomberg News.
