Wide receiver has been one of the deepest and most talented positions at Arkansas the last few seasons.

That shouldn’t change anytime soon. Not only are the Razorbacks' top players at receiver expected to return, Arkansas is on track to sign what one recruiting service regards as the No. 1 wide receiver/tight ends class in the country.

Scout.com has the Razorbacks recruiting the No. 4 group of offensive linemen, No. 11 defensive back class and the No. 9 class overall. But where Arkansas looks to be really loaded is with receivers/tight ends.

Included are receivers Quinta Funderburk (6-3, 200), Keante Minor (6-2, 195), Davyon McKinney (6-2, 170) and Marquel Wade (5-11, 180), plus tight ends Chris Barnett (6-6, 249), Demetrius Dean (6-4, 260), Jervohnte Riles (6-4, 211) and Brock Haman (6-3, 230). McKinney is from Forrest City and Dean from Fayetteville.

Add that to a group that includes Joe Adams, Jarius Wright, Cobi Hamilton and a (hopefully) healthy Greg Childs and there will be plenty of targets for Ryan Mallett’s replacement to choose from. Arkansas had five different players in 2010 that recorded at least 500 receiving yards for the Razorbacks, and all but tight end D.J. Williams are expected to return in 2011.
