ASU Second Among Sun Belt In Players Drafted Since 2000; Hogs Seventh In SEC

Offensive lineman Derek Newton could become the sixth consecutive Arkansas State player taken in the NFL Draft when it begins Thursday. ASU has a streak of five players taken, a figure that places them second in Sun Belt Conference in total drafted players since 2000.

Arkansas has had 30 drafted since 2000. That puts the Razorbacks tied for seventh in the SEC with South Carolina.
