Rotnei Clarke will transfer to Butler.

CBSSports.com reports the former Razorback shooting guard will join the Bulldogs. He’ll be eligible for the 2012-13 season and sit out this year.

Clarke, who averaged 15.2 points per game for Arkansas as a junior, chose the Bulldogs over Oklahoma. He was leaning toward his home state school, but recent sanctions against the Sooners factored into the decision, he told CBS.

Clarke will likely see time at both backcourt spots for the Bulldogs. Butler will lose senior point guard Ronald Nored after this season.

"I’m hoping to work on being a point guard in the year off,” Clarke said. "I know I need a lot of work on it – but I’m hoping I can really improve and be able to play both spots at Butler.”

Butler has been to the NCAA championship game the last two seasons.
