Report: Red Wolves' Freeze To Be Offered Ole Miss Job

12/3/2011 at 11:13pm

Arkansas State Hugh Freeze is expected to be offered and accept the job at Ole Miss, according to a report on RebelGrove.com, citing "sources."

Freeze, who guided the Red Wolves to a 10-win season, Sun Belt Conference title and GoDaddy.com Bowl berth, was mentioned as a candidate for the job soon after Houston Nutt was fired last month. ASU (10-2, 8-0) defeated Troy 45-19 on Saturday in Jonesboro.

Asked about the opening at Ole Miss, Freeze, a native of Mississippi, said on Saturday: "My wife and I enjoy Jonesboro. Our kids like it here," he said before adding, "Now, let me say that I'm from [Mississippi]."
