Arkansas' 2012 football schedule, most of it, has been released.
There is still one more non-conference game left to fill. Arkansas has yet to set a location for its home games, so it is unknown which games are at War Memorial and Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
SEC officials released the 2012 schedule on Wednesday. It was complicated by the addition of Texas A&M and Missouri. They stress this is a one-year look for the schedule and a more permanent fix is coming beginning with 2013.
Also of note:
•SEC play will once again begin with Alabama. That's something Coach Bobby Petrino wanted to change, but has been unsuccessful in doing.
•Missouri, just five hours away from Arkansas’ campus, isn’t on the schedule.
•Arkansas was schedule to go to Knoxville in 2012. That’s no longer happening.
•Texas A&M is listed as "vs" on the SEC and Arkansas schedules. Currently, the programs have a 10-year contract for Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, but the Aggies would like it to be a home-and-home now that they're conference rivals.
•Currently, LSU-Arkansas is listed as a Saturday game, rather than its traditional Friday slot. That is not unusual for early versions of the schedule, however. Don't be surprised if the game winds up on Friday again.
