So far there has been nothing official to suggest a pair of Arkansas State player tweets are correct and Michael Dyer is in fact transferring from Auburn to join the Red Wolves.
Neither school has confirmed a move is happening. But there is plenty from the Auburn side to suggest Dyer’s time with the Tigers could be in jeopardy. Birmingham News columnist Kevin Scarbinsky recently wrote:
Auburn's leading rusher wasn't just suspended for the Chick-fil-A Bowl. He was disappeared.
His stats were included in Auburn's bowl media guide, but you didn't find his picture or bio in there. The season-long highlight reel they showed before Saturday's game on the Georgia Dome video boards didn't include a single Dyer highlight.
And it was a long video.
Chizik said Dyer’s status with the Tigers is unchanged. All that seems to mean is the suspension continues for the Little Rock product, who sat out against Virginia in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Former Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn is now at Arkansas State. Depending on how quickly Dyer could become eligible (in most circumstances he'd have to sit a year to transfer between FBS schools), Jonesboro seems like a potential landing spot should his time on The Plains be up.
