Nurideen Lindsey Headed To Rider, Instead Of Arkansas

1/19/2012 at 9:10am

Turns out guard Nurideen Lindsey will not be attending Arkansas.

Lindsey, who announced via Twitter that he’d chosen the Razorbacks, will instead be transferring to Rider from St. John’s. Multiple reports last week had the 6-foot-3 guard heading to Fayetteville.

According to The Sporting News, Lindsey had a change of heart. Rider, located in New Jersey, is closer to Lindsey’s hometown of Philadelphia.

Lindesy averaged 11.8 points and 4.9 rebounds in nine games with the Red Storm. He will be eligible next December.

Arkansas needs additional help inside, something Lindsey would not have provided. Coach Mike Anderson and his staff have scholarships to fill for 2012.
