Big Nights From Townsel, Sterrenberg Lead Red Wolves Past Louisiana-Monroe

Ed Townsel and Adam Sterrenberg scored 18 points each to lead Arkansas State to a 72-64 victory against Louisiana-Monroe on Thursday night.
Townsel made five 3-pointers, Sterrenberg four.
Rakeem Dickerson added 12 points and Marcus Hooten 10 for the Red Wolves (10-14, 4-6 Sun Belt). Brandon Peterson had 10 rebounds.
Marcelis Hansberry scored 15 points and Fabio Ribeiro 13 for the Warhawks (2-21, 1-9), who have lost 10 straight at Arkansas State and have not won there since the 1984-85 season.
Townsel had seven assists.
