There have been few college football seasons in the state like 2011.
Arkansas won 11 games and the Cotton Bowl. Arkansas State hit 10 wins and made a GoDaddy.com Bowl appearance. UCA advanced to the second round of the FCS playoffs.
Forget all the reminiscing, when the heck can 2012 get going, right?
Thankfully, football isn’t as far off as you think.
Sure, season openers aren’t for another seven-plus months. SEC media days — what we view around here as the unofficial official start to the season — is still five months away.
But don’t despair. Spring football, spring games and on-campus pro days for NFL scouts are coming soon.
Below is a list of key dates for the spring. And just about the time you really get a hankering for football this summer, we’ll have our ArkansasSports360.com Football Preview available.
These are hard times without football. But we can get through them together.
