Alabama Forward JaMychal Green Reinstated, But Not Expected To Face Razorbacks

Alabama coach Anthony Grant says recently reinstated forward JaMychal Green won't play Thursday night against Arkansas.

Grant said Tuesday that he will evaluate Green's status for Saturday's Mississippi State game after that.

The coach declined to elaborate on the factors behind his decision on when his leading scorer and rebounder will return to the court. The All-Southeastern Conference player has missed the past three games and was reinstated for practice on Monday.

No. 2 scorer and rebounder Tony Mitchell is suspended for the rest of the season. Grant says he doesn't know if he'll return next year.

He says the Crimson Tide players are focused on the Arkansas game, not their teammates' situation. He says Alabama has "got a lot we're playing for."

That includes an NCAA tournament berth.
