Sports Poll

Just how closely do you follow college football recruiting?
  • VERY - I know all the rankings, 440 times and GPAs of the Top 25.
  • CLOSELY - I pay attention to the 5-star players and who the Arkansas schools are looking at.
  • SOMEWHAT - I read a few stories around National Signing Day.
  • NOT AT ALL - Recruiting? Did the Army change its slogan again?

AP: Razorbacks Look To Build Case For NCAA Tournament With Road Victory At LSU

Mike Anderson isn't ready to talk about the NCAA tournament just yet. The Arkansas coach is so caught up in the moment in his first season on the job that he hasn't allowed himself — or his players, for that matter — to look that far ahead. read more >

Arkansas Sports Hall Of Fame To Induct 1994 Razorback 'Family', Others Tonight At Verizon Arena

Nolan Richardson has often described his teams as being a family. It's a description he's used frequently in the past and again in a recent radio interview. So it seems very appropriate that Richardson's 1994 NCAA title team — the entire team — is being inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame. Members of the squad that went 31-3 with a 76-72 championship victory against Duke are among this year's class of honorees. read more >

Full-Court Press: Arkansas 82, Vanderbilt 74

This game was at Bud Walton Arena, wasn't it? Arkansas improved to 16-0 in Fayetteville and knocked off a third team ranked in the Top 25 this month. More specifically, the Razorbacks (16-6, 4-3) won because they shot better than 55-percent from the three-point line, used their quickness to get to loose balls and turned 11 Vanderbilt turnovers into 13 points. Arkansas was able to push the tempo and eclipsed 80 for the first time in seven games and helped hang onto its advantage by hitting 17 of 24 free throws. read more >

SEC Basketball Notebook: Vandy On Serious Upswing After Sluggish Start; Power Poll

Vanderbilt began the 2011-12 season with its highest preseason national ranking ever, and the proceeded to throw it all away with four bad losses. Now, barely back in the rankings at No. 25, it's as if hardly anyone outside of the Southeastern Conference has noticed that Vanderbilt has begun showing the form everyone else expected before this season — the Commodores enter Tuesday night's game at Arkansas having won 10 of their last 11 games. The only lost was a 78-77 overtime setback at the hands of talented but up-and-down Mississippi State. Part of the improvement has been due to the return of 7-foot post Festus Ezeli, a preseason All-SEC pick who missed some of the nonconference slate with a knee injury. With Ezeli's post presence, the Commodores' defense has improved, and it's also taken some of the offensive pressure off All-SEC picks Jeff Taylor and John Jenkins. read more >
