Leadership from within was a significant factor in Arkansas football getting through a tumultuous spring. Players in leadership roles helped the Razorbacks end last month on a high note. Those same players will be asked to set the tone in summer workouts, something that ought to be relatively easy after dealing with a rare April coaching change. Knile Davis is still trying to wrap his head around the past week. Bobby Petrino is no longer the Arkansas football coach. Very private details of Petrino's life have been made public and a series of missteps and lies led to the coach being terminated. Davis, like other Razorbacks, has had to shut off his phone, disappear from social media and avoid watching TV this week. When it comes to total defense, the team currently ranks No. 4 in the nation, a spot that currently stands as an 85-point improvement over last season.
