Ole Miss introduced Hugh Freeze as its head football coach during a press conference this afternoon. Freeze has spent the last two seasons at Arkansas State, including one as offensive coordinator and one as head coach. ASU won 10 games this season and is headed to the GoDaddy.com Bowl. read more >

Hugh Freeze says he didn't text, but he knows the area of the country where it came from and probably who sent it. The text message report that surfaced in a rather humorous story Saturday in the Memphis Commercial Appeal about coaches texting what they thought was still Archie Manning's former cell phone including one that supposedly came from Freeze, but he said Saturday after ASU's 45-14 romp over Troy that it wasn't from him. He also didn't say that Ole Miss wouldn't be his next destination either. read more >

Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson is among 10 candidates for the Manning Award, given annually to the best quarterback in college football. It is not awarded until after the bowl season, so Wilson will have a chance to add to his totals, which include 63-percent passing, 3,422 yards and 22 touchdowns. read more >
