Gov. Beebe Favors Idea Of Arkansas-ASU Game, But Doesn't Want Government Involved
It's hard to find a sports fan in Arkansas without an opinion on competition between the state's two largest colleges. That includes Gov. Mike Beebe, the state's most powerful sports fan and alum of both Arkansas (law school) and Arkansas State (undergraduate). Beebe, who is a fixture at ASU football games and chooses to sit on a front row seat in the upper deck, rather than a luxury suite, has long been a proponent of the game.
