In the long-gone glory days of Arkansas football, when the Razorbacks won almost as much as Alabama, the Hogs typically started Southwest Conference play beating TCU. They did it 22 straight times, from 1959 to 1980. It meant everything to Arkansas' players to start out conference play 1-0 and it became expected every year, whether the coach was Frank Broyles or Lou Holtz. The way things are going in this Arkansas-Alabama series, which often is the conference opener for both teams, Arkansas may be Alabama's "TCU." Alabama may never lose to Arkansas as long as Nick Saban is in charge of the Crimson Tide. read more >

Storms Hit SEC Country Hard: A Few Links To How You Can Help
Tuscaloosa, as you probably know by now, was hit hard by a mile-wide tornado on Wednesday (there's video below). It was a devastating storm that left at least 32 people in that town dead, part of the 200-plus across the South who lost their lives this week. And, of course, Arkansas was hit hard days earlier. A tornado in Vilonia and flooding in Northwest Arkansas claimed lives as well. At least 11 died here and 40,000-plus were still without power on Wednesday. Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee are also reeling right now. Root for them as well. read more >
