Kevin Kelley's unconventional approach to football is well known to folks inside the state of Arkansas. Cabot, for example, can attest all too well that the Pulaski Academy head coach is willing to try some unusual things. Consider last week's game in which Kelley had his team attempt four, and recover three onside kicks in jumping out to a 29-0 lead with just 8:35 remaining in the first quarter. It would be understandable if the eight members of the 7A-West convinced the Arkansas Activities Association to move the classification's state championship game – heck, make that the semifinals too — to Reynolds Razorback Stadium on the University of Arkansas campus.
