Jim Harris: Reynolds Refuses To Lose, Needs Other Razorbacks To Join Him
Baseball fans in central Arkansas weren't simply treated to the once-a-year Arkansas Razorback appearance Tuesday night. What they saw was a microcosm of the Hogs' season of recent weeks, all rolled into 10 innings. This one, the Razorbacks won 6-5. A good many of the 10,512 fans who paid to see it were still around when junior third baseman Matt Reynolds singled sharply past the lunging Louisiana Tech second baseman, advanced on walk to Brian Anderson, stole third on his own and came home when the catcher's ill-advised throw to third bounced into left field. It completed a mostly marvelous night for Reynolds, who homered, doubled, singled twice and walked — and struck out with one out and the bases loaded in the second inning. read more >

Reynolds Takes Matters Into Own Hands, Hogs Win Before 10,512 Fans
With Matt Reynolds representing the winning run at second base in the 10th inning on Tuesday, and with the memory of four botched chances earlier in the game still fresh, Arkansas didn't wait for a clutch hit. Reynolds got the green light from Coach Dave Van Horn to steal third if the opportunity presented itself, which it did. On the second pitch from Louisiana Tech's seventh reliever, right fielder Sam Alvis, Reynolds swiped third base and Tech catcher Kyle Arnsberg bounced an ill-advised throw past the third baseman into right field. Reynolds scored easily for a 6-5 Arkansas victory at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock. read more >

Bahn: Razorbacks Lose Series To South Carolina, Maintain Hope For Late Push

Beating South Carolina on Sunday and earning a series victory against the two-time defending national champs was going to be proof Arkansas was back. Had the Razorbacks defeated the Gamecocks it would have been two consecutive weeks of series victories against Top 5 opponents. Instead, Arkansas lost 10-7 on Sunday at Baum Stadium and dropped the series to fall further behind the SEC's elite. Rather than adding to the their resume on paper, the Razorbacks added to the loss column. And Dave Van Horn still came away happy with his team. read more >
