Jim Harris: Van Horn Appreciates Surge In Statewide Contributions to Razorback Baseball

Even the weather that was far from conducive for baseball — or thoughts about baseball — could not keep a regular crowd of basketball fans away from hearing Arkansas Razorback baseball coach Dave Van Horn describe his team's 2012 prospects Monday. The wintry mix didn't stop Van Horn and former UA baseball coach Norm DeBriyn, as well as UA athletic director emeritus Frank Broyles, from making the flight to Little Rock for the Downtown Tip Off Club's weekly meeting. Van Horn, who said he couldn't remember the last time he was asked to speak in Central Arkansas, was eager to show his appreciation for the area fans Monday at the Downtown Tip Off Club's weekly meeting. read more >
