Two-Minute Drill: Arkansas 29, Kansas State 16

Arkansas used big plays on special teams, depth of playmakers on offense and arguably its best defensive performance of the season to secure only the third 11-win season in school history in beating Kansas State in the 76th Cotton Bowl. Defense and special teams bailed the team out early when the offense couldn't move, staking the Razorbacks to a 10-0 lead before they recorded a first down. New defensive coordinator Paul Haynes seemed to make a difference as Arkansas allowed just 87 yards rushing. The Razorbacks finished with 345 yards of total offense, primarily on the strength of 216 yards passing from Tyler Wilson. read more >

Gov. Beebe Favors Idea Of Arkansas-ASU Game, But Doesn't Want Government Involved
It's hard to find a sports fan in Arkansas without an opinion on competition between the state's two largest colleges. That includes Gov. Mike Beebe, the state's most powerful sports fan and alum of both Arkansas (law school) and Arkansas State (undergraduate). Beebe, who is a fixture at ASU football games and chooses to sit on a front row seat in the upper deck, rather than a luxury suite, has long been a proponent of the game.
