As the Arkansas Razorback faithful has learned this month, as they saw earlier against Texas A&M, the Hogs can play poorly enough early to find themselves with mountains to climb over the course of a game. And yet, even if the Hogs don't quite have some Sir Edmund Hillary in them to take the most majestic of peaks, they have enough fortitude to make the climb up some average hills. read more >

Statistically, Jake Bequette didn't seem to make a huge impact for No. 10 Arkansas against Auburn. He finished with just one tackle in a return from left hamstring issues that kept him off the field for three games. Don't discount what Bequette's presence meant to the team, though. Bequette's return had a calming effect on defensive coordinator Willy Robinson. That's how Robinson described it, while also praising the effort Bequette gave in trying to get into the backfield. read more >

Injured Arkansas players could use a break. There are multiple areas where the team can improve as the season hits its midway point. Fortunately for the Razorbacks, they get that opportunity this week. Arkansas (5-1, 1-1 SEC) has no game on Saturday and has a much-needed chance to improve the health of players and tweak some things. read more >

Injuries absolutely would not be an excuse if Arkansas was 3-2 or worse right now. But that shouldn't stop us from applauding the way the Razorbacks have handled a less than ideal situation. To this point the Razorbacks have survived mentally. Which is why I don't think the term “soft” is fair game when describing this team. Fans have been offering that adjective up on Twitter, message boards and talk radio all season. Physically, does the team need to play stronger? Yes. There's work to do, but equating this team with marshmallows or quality toilet paper is off the mark. read more >
