Arkansas Activities Association Releases Classification Figures for 2012-14

Reclassification numbers have been released by the Arkansas Activities Association for the 2012-14 cycle. Notable changes in Central Arkansas include Little Rock Hall moving to 6A and Little Rock McClellan going down to 5A. Jacksonville is also moving to 5A. Shiloh Christian is back down in the 3A, according to enrollment figures that govern where teams are slotted. read more >

THE LAST WORD: Little Rock District Must Commit to Improving Football

Enrollment shouldn't be a factor in the LRSD. Where numbers have fallen, the schools have been reclassified to play similar-sized programs. Coaches in the LRSD have to go the extra mile these days, though, to interest students with athletic skills into playing football and convincing them how their program might benefit their lives. read more >
