Arkansas is looking for a couple of offensive tackles. Developing depth on the line is also a focal point for the Razorbacks in fall camp. Those are clear needs for the team, which enters 2011 ranked No. 14. Will those goals be accomplished? Can this collection of big, athletic bodies on the line become a cohesive-enough unit that the team can compete with the likes of, say, Alabama on Sept. 24? 3-And-Out: Defense Shines, Offense Shaky As Razorbacks Open Fall Camp

Just how far the defense has come entering Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino's fourth season was clear as the Razorbacks opened their 2011 camp on Thursday. Petrino was quick to praise the unit for its efforts, following a 90-plus minute workout on the UA intramural fields. It wasn't like seasons past when he was primarily upset with his offense for a bad day. Petrino was genuinely pleased with how the defense performed and kept the offense on its heels at times. read more >

Otis Kirk's Recruiting 360: Razorbacks Build 2011 Class With Top In-State Talent

Arkansas signed 30 new recruits on Wednesday, including seven from Arkansas. The seven in the state this year include two 4-star recruits on Rivals.com. Fayetteville quarterback Brandon Allen (6-foot-2, 214 pounds, 4.7 in the 40-yard dash), and Springdale Har-Ber offensive tackle Brey Cook (6-7, 314, 5.2). Allen and Cook are among the best in the nation at their positions, according to Rivals.com. read more >
