Full-Court Press: LSU 70, Arkansas 54

Why Arkansas Lost: Offensive struggles really caught up with the Razorbacks, who posted their lowest point total of the season. They shot 35.8 percent against LSU and were outrebounded 41-28. Arkansas, which had its greatest offensive success in transition this year, managed zero fast-break points against the Tigers. Early on the Razorbacks forced turnovers — including nine in the first 10 minutes of the opening half — but the defensive intensity seemed to wane after halftime. When forced into a slower tempo the Razorbacks displayed little patience or movement on offense. read more >

Jim Harris: Razorback (Men's) Roller Coaster Runs Off The Rails

Jim Harris: Razorback (Men's) Roller Coaster Runs Off The Rails
Tom Collen has earned Southeastern Conference Coach of the Years honors for leading his Razorback women to the upper echelon of the league. This long-awaited turnaround season was highlighted by Arkansas' first-ever win at Tennessee. The UA women should earn an NCAA Tournament bid no matter what happens in the league tourney, in which they open play Thursday against Ole Miss. Arkansas' women don't seem to have near the problem with Ole Miss that the men's program has had for going on 15 years. Tuesday night's 77-75 Ole Miss comeback win marked the Rebels' eighth victory over Arkansas in nine games, and this group of Ole Miss seniors will be the first in the SEC to claim four wins at Bud Walton Arena. Tuesday's loss was the most disappointing game of the year for the men, who probably lost any chance at postseason beyond next week's SEC Men's Tournament. read more >

Bahn: Young, Razorbacks Have Plenty Of Time Left To Make Noise This Season

Bahn: Young, Razorbacks Have Plenty Of Time Left To Make Noise This Season
Win three of the next eight and Arkansas will match its total SEC victory total from the last two seasons. Hitting 8-8 in the league would give the Razorbacks 20 wins for the year. Already they have three victories against teams in the Top 40 RPI. Put a couple road victories on that resume and Arkansas has a strong postseason argument. Who saw that coming? There is a lot of basketball to be played, but if this team can hit 20 entering the SEC tournament is there really a better candidate for natinoal coach of the year than Mike Anderson? read more >
