Razorbacks Grant Kane Whitehurst Release

Wide receiver Kane Whitehurst has been granted his release from the Arkansas football program. Whitehurst, a redshirt freshman from Alpharetta, Ga., was on indefinite suspension following an April 1 arrest on misdemeanor drug and drug paraphernalia charges. Whitehurst appeared in no games last season and was worked out at defensive back during bowl practices. read more >

Bobby Petrino will walk out of the Broyles Complex and onto the turf at Reynolds Razorback Stadium today when spring practice begins. Just like always. Unlike the last three spring sessions and four fall camps since 2008, however, Petrino will not see Joe Adams, Greg Childs and Jarius Wright when he looks in the direction of the wide receivers.
