Auburn Transfer Michael Dyer 'Probably' Out For ASU Red Wolves In 2012
Running back Michael Dyer is unlikely to play for Arkansas State in 2012. That news comes courtesy of a Monday interview with the Smash Mouth Radio Show on 97.3 The Zone in Birmingham, Ala. ASU Coach Gus Malzahn told the hosts, including Birmingham News columnist Kevin Scarbinksy, that the Auburn transfer was unlikely to play this season, but would play for the Red Wolves in 2013. Scarbinsky's tweet: “Gus Malzahn on the Smash Mouth Radio Network: Dyer probably will have to sit out this year at Ark State but he expects him to play in 2013.” read more >

Forget Arkansas State running back Michael Dyer's status for the 2012 season. His spring practice availability also appears to be in question for the week. Dyer, who transferred from Auburn, is back in the state of Alabama to testify in a robbery trial involving former teammates. According to Al.com the judge presiding over the case told Dyer he could not leave the county and could be called back to testify. read more >

New Arkansas State football coach Gus Malzahn and returning senior quarterback Ryan Aplin made the media rounds in Little Rock on Tuesday, ostensibly to promote Saturday's Red-Black Game in Jonesboro but to also talk about the overall program now that it's under Malzahn's direction. Accompanying them was a videographer, Nathan Brooks. ASU is taking fans inside the Malzahn program through a YouTube-based video series entitled "Red Wolves Revival." read more >
