Forward Devonta Abron has been granted his release from from Arkansas. Abron, who averaged 5.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in 32 games last season, is reportedly working to get closer to home. Abron, a 6-foot-8, 255-pound freshman, started 22 games for the Razorbacks. read more >

Haynes, the new UA defensive coordinator who arrived before the Cotton Bowl win over Kansas State and who joined basketball coach Mike Anderson for the club meeting Thursday night, said: "We're not just going to be known for offense around here, anymore. We're going to be known for toughness. We're going to be known for defense. We're going to be known for championship football. That's the bottom line."
