The best football player in the state this fall may not be a senior, but instead a junior. North Little Rock running back Altee Tenpenny rushed for 1,121 yards and 15 touchdowns on 147 carries as a sophomore. Arkansas, Alabama, Auburn and Ole Miss have made offers to him. By this time next year, it may be easier to name the schools that haven't offered than the ones that have. His list could be that long. Tenpenny was at the Junior/Senior Prospect Camp at Arkansas on Saturday and impressed as expected. read more >

John Shannon's Beebe Badgers began the season finding their way against two of the better teams in 5A, Greenbrier and Vilonia, and started the season 0-3 with the demanding nonconference schedule. But because of that competition, the Badgers carry a 5-0 record in 5A-East into their last two games of the regular season and will play for the conference title next week against Batesville. read more >
