Eli Manning is the big man in the NFL after one-upping Tom Brady and leading the New York Giants to a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots in Sunday's Super Bowl — in older brother Peyton's house, at that. But nothing that happened during the course of the season brought us fairly to that conclusion — not in the way college football has crowned its champion over the past 75 years. Arkansas shocked No. 15-ranked Mississippi State with a blast from the past — a running game and a swarming defense not seen since the Nolan Richardson days — in a 98-88 win.
