Arkansas has secured a commitment from linebacker Vin Ascolese, a Parade All-American. Ascolese (6-2, 220) chose the Razorbacks over offers from schools including Illinois, Texas A&M, Cincinnati and Michigan State. read more >

Recruiting 360: Defensive Back Will Hines Passes On Missouri, Commits To Razorbacks

Arkansas has potentially added more defensive help to its 2012 recruiting class. Defensive back Will Hines (6-foot, 175 pounds) became the latest commitment to the Razorbacks. Hines, of Waco, Texas, had been committed to Missouri. Other offers included Baylor, Notre Dame and Oklahoma State. read more >

Arkansas hosted nine recruits last weekend and will bring in another 20 this weekend as well as host a few on Jan. 27. Arkansas still has some needs, but not a lot of available scholarships to fill them. Otis Kirk: Razorbacks Planning On Large Number Of Official Visitors In January

On paper, Arkansas doesn't have very many openings remaining on the Class of 2012, but that isn't stopping the Razorbacks from hosting a large number of prospects in January. The Razorbacks will have a big weekend on Jan. 20 when the basketball team plays host to Michigan, but will also host recruits on Jan. 13 and Jan. 27. Tim Horton, who is Arkansas' recruiting coordinator as well as running backs coach, likes the momentum Arkansas' 10-2 has caused among recruits. Arkansas also knows what a victory over No. 8 Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 6 could add to recruiting as well. read more >
