Two-Minute Drill: Arkansas 31, Vanderbilt 28

Why Arkansas Won: Once again the Razorbacks (7-1, 3-1 SEC) showed their resiliency. They battled back from an early deficit and came up with big plays at crucial times like Jerry Franklin's 94-yard fumble return for a touchdown and three field goals from Zach Hocker. It helped that Vanderbilt kicker Carey Spear missed a field goal with eight seconds remaining. read more >

Pressbox Roundtable: Bruce James, Media Rate the Hogs' BCS Ranking, Dennis Johnson's Running, Defensive Effort, Replay, ASU's TV Time

Each week during the football season, the ArkansasSports360.com's staff of Chris Bahn and Jim Harris conduct a no-holds-barred “pressbox roundtable” with selected experts/guest columnists for AS360.com, including former Razorback All-America defensive end Bruce James and radio hosts Justin Acri, TJ Carpenter and Mickey Ryan. This week, we look at Arkansas' struggle at Oxford and if the Hogs deserved to drop a notch in the BCS poll, Dennis Johnson's big rushing game and whether it could continue, the continued questions about the Razorback defense and the upcoming Vanderbilt game on Saturday. Live Game Blog: Arkansas vs. Auburn in Reynolds Razorback Stadium, Oct. 8

Live Game Blog: Arkansas vs. Auburn in Reynolds Razorback Stadium, Oct. 8
It's hard to believe it's been a year since we saw Cam Newton become a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate -- he would eventually win it -- in leading Auburn to a 65-43 victory at home over Arkansas. Now, the teams square off at Reynolds Razorback Stadium, the defending national champion Tigers a surprising 4-1 with three last-minute victories, while Arkansas is 4-1 and fresh off a 42-38 comeback win over Texas A&M. We welcome you to our weekly in-game feature, our live blog of the Razorbacks. Jim Harris: Malzahn May Need More Than Mirrors To Conjure Up Enough Offense Against Razorbacks This Time

Jim Harris: Malzahn May Need More Than Mirrors To Conjure Up Enough Offense Against Razorbacks This Time
No way was Auburn keeping Cam Newton from moving on to the NFL after his incredible, Heisman Trophy-winning season last year in taking the Tigers to the national championship. Auburn wasn't keeping defensive tackle Nick Fairley either after his unbelievable breakout year. But one player who could have stayed and didn't would make a lot of difference for Gus Malzahn's Auburn offense post-Newton: wide receiver Darvin Adams. Without Adams this year and with Emory Blake perhaps hobbled for Saturday, Malzahn and the Tigers will have to call upon Little Rock native Michael Dyer for another yeoman effort at running back and hope some precocious freshmen step up at receiver when Arkansas forces the Tigers to pass. read more >

Live Game Blog: Arkansas vs. Texas A&M in Cowboys Stadium, Oct. 1
Good morning -- early, early good morning, in fact, when it comes to college football. The photo accompanying this report is from 9 a.m., two hours before kickoff, as few if any fans had streamed in from their canopies and tailgates along Collins Avenue (west of Cowboys Stadium), or from the shindig being set up on the east side, where a band was about to get folks foot-stomping, whether they're red-draped Hog fans or maroon Aggies here for the third annual Southwest Classic. We invite you to follow our running coverage of Arkansas' football game with Texas A&M at Jerry Jones' Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. read more >
