Along with the announcement Wednesday that Arkansas would be competing in this season's Las Vegas Invitational over the Thanksgiving holiday, the Razorbacks will have plenty of nonconference opposition that could help the Ratings Percentage Index, no matter the game's result. Meanwhile, more than 250 Arkansas State fans glimpsed the turf at War Memorial Stadium on Wednesday in a way like it had never been seen before. read more >

Jim's Notebook: Razorbacks Continue Search For Front-Line Help; Anderson, Haynes Hit Heber Springs

The newest name to surface in the Arkansas basketball team's search for front-line help is Coty Clarke, a 6-foot-7, 225-pound power forward from Birmingham, Ala., and Lawson State Community College. Coty reports offers from Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, Southern Mississippi, Georgia and Bradley, and Memphis and UAB have shown interest. Clarke visited Georgia in late March. Meanwhile, UA Coach Mike Anderson and football defensive coordinator Paul Haynes are set to appear in Heber Springs on Thursday night. read more >

Former Razorback Golfer Stacy Lewis Holds Off Thompson For Win At LPGA's Mobile Bay

Stacy Lewis sweated out a win that came down to the last pressurized putt in a day full of them. Lexi Thompson, meanwhile, was at her poised best — not her worst — on a Sunday in Mobile. Lewis outlasted the rising teenager to win the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic by one stroke for her second LPGA Tour title in a round that supplied a measure of vindication for both. Lewis, five strokes ahead early in the day, reclaimed the edge with a birdie on No. 16, while the 17-year-old Thompson parred the final hole and had to wait. read more >
