Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, to hear some message board wags tell it, has wrapped up spring drills with Nick Saban and will move over to Arkansas any day now. Then, we even had Seattle Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll tweeting about the job and promoting his buddy Steve Mariucci, who hasn't coached on the college level since Danny Ford was at Arkansas. Phil Fulmer Speaks, Pete Carroll Tweets As Razorback Football Job Remains Open
Arkansas defensive ends coach Steve Caldwell spent 14 seasons at Tennessee and knows Phil Fulmer well. But Caldwell isn't saying much about any interest his former boss might have in the Razorback head coaching opening. Caldwell wouldn't say if he and Fulmer had discussed the job, which became available when Bobby Petrino was fired last week. Instead, Caldwell deferred to the Arkansas administration, but did offer up something of an endorsement of his former boss. read more >
