The college players who opted out of jumping to the NBA after last season now look like the smart ones. And it's those players at Vanderbilt (naturally brainy), Kentucky, Alabama and Florida that will give the SEC most of its national notoriety this season. After those four, and maybe Mississippi State and Arkansas in the middle, it's anybody's guess how the bottom half might shake out. But for the first time since league expansion in 1991-92, the entire dozen will be bunched together — no divisions anymore. The league might really be viewed as strong if it could go ahead and include future members Texas A&M and Missouri now.
