Sun Belt Full-Court Press: North Texas 76, Arkansas State 72

The night after top seed Middle Tennessee all but handed the game to ninth-seed Arkansas State by missing every opportunity at the free-throw line in the final minutes of a tight contest, North Texas hit 8 of 10 free throws in the last 46 seconds Monday night and denied the revived Red Wolves a possible Sun Belt Men's Tournament championship, winning 76-72. read more >

Red Wolves Fall At Western Kentucky On Late 3-Pointer

T.J. Price's 3-pointer with 2 seconds remaining lifted Western Kentucky to a 79-76 victory over Arkansas State in a Sun Belt Conference game Thursday night. George Fant scored 19 points for the Hilltoppers (10-18, 6-9), making 8 of 9 shots. He hit two layups 33 seconds apart and added a free throw after the second to give Western Kentucky a 74-69 lead with 1:51 remaining. read more >

UALR Drops Another With Late Collapse at Western Kentucky, 65-53

Western Kentucky used a late 13-0 run to hand the UALR men's basketball team a 65-53 loss on Saturday afternoon at E.A. Diddle Arena. The Trojans led 49-44 with 7:12 left in the game, but the Hilltoppers scored 13-unanswered points over the next 6:22 as the Trojans did not make another field goal until the final minute of the game, dropping their second straight Sun Belt Conference game after a 5-0 league start. read more >
