There are years the state of Arkansas produces really good wide receivers. Other years offensive linemen are the big get for colleges recruiting the Natural State. Current Razorback freshmen Brey Cook, Mitch Smothers and Marcus Danenhauer are a prime example from 2011. This year the state seems to be producing a good number of both receivers and offensive linemen. Otis Kirk's Recruiting 360: Top-Ranked Dorial Green-Beckham Among Prospects At Shiloh's Southwest Elite 7-On-7 Event
Arkansas fans have clamored for Springfield (Mo.) Hillcrest wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, 6-6, 220, 4.4, to visit the Arkansas campus again and he will get within a few miles on Friday and Saturday. Green-Beckham and Hillcrest is one of the 24 teams in the Southwest Elite 7-on-7 to be played at Shiloh Christian this weekend. Rivals.com rates Green-Beckham a five-star recruit and the No. 1 prospect in the nation. He has camped at Missouri and Oklahoma earlier this spring and summer. He attended the Arkansas-Alabama game in Fayetteville last year and was impressed at the time with the atmosphere at the game. read more >

Nominations for U.S. Army Bowl Include Seven Arkansas Prep Prospects
Nominations have been announced for the 2012 U.S. Army All-American bowl. Arkansas is well represented with seven players nominated, according to ArkansasVarsity.com. Only 90 players are selected among the 400-plus nominees. A roster for the 2012 game will be released later this year. Kickoff is set for Jan. 7, 2012 at 1 p.m. in San Antonio.
